2008 Speedster 200 430HP. I went to start my boat today and it wouldn't start. The battery was dead. I opened the back and the sump pump was running continuously without high water level. I unplugged the sump pump and waited about 2 hours, came back to check on it and the water level was the same. So, no leaking. I charged the battery and it starts fine now. How important is the sump pump? Can I just watch level in the back and plug it in when it needs it? Has anyone else had this happen to them? Is there a level switch that is just stuck on it?

I will once I get it out of the water. Right now it is in the water and under a black something to do with the engine so not accessible. I can still plug it in if I need it so it isn't like I don't have it.
