About four years ago I had a 97 GSX and loved this ski. I end up selling it when we purchased our Speedster 200. Fast forward now 4 years and my son now wanted us to get another jetski so he could ride. I decided to look for another GSX during the month of June. As you can imagine they are a little hard to find in good condition. I came across one about 45 minutes away from me. He was asking $1500 including a trailer and cover and I was able to purchase it for $1300. The ski had perfect compression at 150 on both cylinders and only had 72 hours. The big problem was it had been sitting in the water for a very long time and the bottom of the ski was white in color. The ski was VERY dirty and needed some work. I decided if I was going to fix this ski up I wanted something that would be very dependable so I decided to stick some money into it. 4 months later I have a great little ski and has been a blast to ride this summer. Unfortunately my son accidently deleted the pics we took before we started to work on the ski but this is what it looks like now. I did the following to the ski:
- Rebuilt Carbs
- New fuel lines and filter
- Replace fuel selector switch
- Drain and replaced oil and oil filter
- Changed oil lines
- Replace spark plugs
- Clean RAV valves
- Repair F1 fuse issue on fuel sending unit
- Changed out Speedo unit
- Installed new Wear ring
- Changed nozzle cup oil
- Installed new carbon seal
- Installed a set of mirrors
- Installed new Seadoo Racing decal
- Wet sanded and buffed complete ski
- Install new grips
- Installed hydro turf
- Install boarding step
- Install new voltage regulator
- Cleaned inside of engine compartment
- Install a new beeper
- Install relay for VTS
- Son added Rebel Decal
