The other day while idling to the beach I must have gotten into an area that was quite shallow and I think my ski picked up some sand. Once I got it into depper water it started right back up and seemed to be ok. I checked the impeller and wear ring and nothing appears to be damaged. Is there anything else I need to check on. Once you pull the ski out of water and you start it does that clear all of the water out of the system? Thanks.

I just did that today. Couldn't figure out why everyone was looking at me, all of a sudden depth finder says 2.5, 2.3, 2.0...I drop the throttle and all of a sudden we are sitting still on a sand bar in about ankle deep water. I sucked a little, but quickly killed the engine and jumped out and pushed the boat off. Ran another 4 hours afterwards just fine.

Make sure you're still "peeing" and your water passages are clogged. Otherwise, you will probably be ok.
