Sucked up a rope in the bottom of my 97 seadoo. It will not budge at all. Tried to pull it out, won't move at all.

What should I do????

PLEASE HELP!!!!!THANKS!

Don't you need to apply a silicon sealant to the bolts when putting the grate back on? Otherwise, you may get a slight leak.

As stated,Take the grate off and get a ravor knike to cut it free then put a dab of silicon or thread-sealer on the bolts when you put it back together.

Make sure there is no damage to the impeller wear ring or drive shaft your best bet might be to bring it to the dealer to make sure nothing is broken or you may have serious problems.

He said he sucked up "a rope".

May have been someone else's rope, or just a piece of trash floating around in the water.

So why buy a new one...to toss back in the lake to replace the piece of trash he sucked up?

Very strange grate replacement

Ok, I had a rope get caught in my intake. I took the grate off, cut the rope into 50 pieces, got it off, and then...

went to put the grate back on and 2 of my bolts would not screw into the embedded nuts on the rear side. I tried for 45 minutes to screw them in. I'm quite sure I never damaged the threads. I did see some hardened substance in the nuts but managed to poke at it and brush them off (don't know what the heck that was). Never got the grate screwed back on!

Anyone have a clue with the screw?!

that hardened stuff may have been the threads come out with the bolts.

May have to do some chasing threads or re-tapping.
