Storage compartment cover oxidation

I have a pair of 96's. Both have some oxidation on the plastic storage compartment cover up front. I have been all over the internet looking for the cure for this type of oxidation. Everything I have found seems to relate to smooth and not textured surfaces like the one on the storage compartmment cover. There is a guy on ebay that will sell you the advice on how to do it but he does not sell you anything tangible, you dont get anything except advice for 25.00, it cant be that big a secret that only 1 guy on ebay knows the secret. Surely somebody out there knows as well. The rest of these skis are nice, I just need to remedy this one issue. Any helpful ideas are appreciated.

I just did mine I do not know if it was the right way but I am happy with it. I used automotive rubing compound to nock of the oxidation and then I washed it real good. once it was dried I aplied two coats of armor all. :cheers:
