I'm sure this is a stupid question, but since I just bought the Seadoo second hand, and it's my first one, I need to ask it. My question is on the 2000 Seadoo GTX. On the back of the doo beneath the tow hook there are 2 holes that ejects warm/hot water. On an outboard boat motor this is normal,. Is this normal for a doo? IS this basically the same thing, I have looked in the manual, but I think this is something they just expect you to know. BTW, I'm not a newbie to motors or carbs, I just rebuilt the carbs on it and it runs great (~68mph with me and my girlfriend), I just don't know about seadoo exhaust and cooling.

Thanks,

Edit: Also While I'm here who's genius I idea was it to use a Steel jet retaining ring and screw inside this models carbs? When I rebuilt the carbs the steel screw and retainer where rusted to all hell, I guess it sat with water in it... I just don't understand what designer would use all brass and aluminum then add some crap like that in there on the bottom where water would sit .... bad seadoo bad....

well first off you should not have water sitting in the carbs anyways....yes water coming out of both of the pee holes is normal and should always be that way. Next I hate to be a buzz kill but your speedo is way way wayyyyyyyyyyyy off....... that ski will only do tops around 60-62mph and with 2 on it you will be lucky to hit 55-58mph....sorry to hurt your feelings on the actual speed

Thanks

I guess I need to get my gps and check it, although I was running beside the
I-295 bridge in Jax and was staying with traffic... the speed limit is 65 and normally runs about 70. I'll post back maybe this weekend.. is it possible the analog and digital speedo's are that far off? Is there anything I can do to adjust them?
