Still No Juice

New battery in my 98 GTI (it has a charge) but still no juice is being allowed to starter. While batt. connected and a friend trying holding the start switch I took my amp meter to the starter relay and there was nothing so I ordered a starter relay...cheapest thing first...then work from there. Anyone have any other ideas?

Hey man. Sorry your still having trouble. Are you getting any beeps with putting the safety lanyard on. You should hear two beeps, that lets you know its good to go. If not, somethings up with the cap or post. Try cleaning it real good with soap and water. Also could be the start/stop switch not working. If all the abive seems ok, your probably right on with the solenoid.
