Hi there,

I just took my boat out for some rides yesterday. When i was done, got it on trailer and got water out of the 2 plugs and was wondering if do i have to run it up to 30 seconds on trailer to push out more water out or leave it?

are you talking about the drain plugs in the hull???

if you are running in fresh water, you could fire up the engine on the trailer, once started and idling shift into forward, move the throttle once or twice in a quick manner to accelerate engine, do not over REV the engine, just blip the throttle a few times, and pull the lanyard and shut it down when it returns to idle... only run for no more than 15-20 seconds...
this will blow out some water from the exhaust system...

if you are in salt water, flush as normal and before shutting down the engine, blip the throttle after you shut the flushing water off, then shut down engine...

Yeah, drain plugs. I used it on fresh water yesterday, ok, i will do that now to flush away more water.

thanks

just fire it up and blip the throttle, then done... I usually do this on the ramp incline when the rear of the boat is out of the water, then pull away...
