I am still trying to fix this problem. My 15 amp fuse is blowing. I changed the rectifier, checked the magneto wires, changed the end on my battery cable and still the same thing. I even changed the wires from the solenoid to the battery fuse, cleaned everything in the electrical box and no help. Please help me find a solution!! My daughter is driving me crazy.

The reason the fuse is blowing is because the Magneto is sending too much power to the mpem via the 15 amp fuse. If the regulator/ rectifier is putting out too much voltage it will blow the fuse. That's the only item that could be causing the blown fuse.

Do I need to change the magneto? I looked at the manual and this looks like a pretty good sized job. Can I start the ski by jumping something around the fuses? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i wouldn't recomment jumping the fuses that could lead to ever more and bigger problems i woul suggest is testing the voltage comming out of the mag and check the rectifier and just see if there is anything that you may be able to do or replace.

think its something simple, you've over-looked..like a"exposed" wire/cable some where..and/or,the magneto wires, check the pins at mag housing for corrosion/build-up, also
