My boat turns fine when just idleing around but as soon as I put any kind of speed to it the steering get really hard to turn..

Thanks up front

I just read this post for a second time… but I think what you are feeling is normal. If it’s free (easy) at idle or low RPM’s… that tells me everything is good. But when you are up on a plane… there is an incredible amount of pressure on the nozzle holding it straight.

Is that what you are feeling?

On my boat, if I’m at full throttle… it’s work to turn… but if I drop it down to 6000 RPM’s… it’s easier… and, at idle… there is almost no resistance. Since you have a twin engine boat, I would think it would make it that much harder to turn. (fighting 2 pumps)

My 2000 challenger M2 is the same, easy to steer at low speed and hard at high speed. However my seadoo jet skis are easy at all speeds. I assume it's normal as I don't find anything mechanically wrong. In my case I assume the nozzle linkage arm is a poor design or there is just so much more thrust to overcome.

Its almost to the point where my wife cant steer & hold throttle she almost needs both hands to steer & one throttle cable is floppy & falls while the other stays put :ack:
