Step bar replacement sleeve

anyone come up with some creative ideas to replace the step up bar foam? Mine is getting to the point it needs to be replaced. I thought about plumping foam insulation, but concerned it is not as durable as the original stuff supplied.

by the time i was done reading the first sentence, foam plumbing insulation also popped into my head.. i dont think it would be very durable.. nor would it provide traction.. itll probably keep spinning around the metal bar when you put pressure on it..

Try E-mailing this company, they're the OEM manufacturer, they replaced mine a couple of years ago for free. You will have to pay shipping both ways.

check number 43.. kinda pricey but you may be able to find the P/N somewhere else for cheap

On my 92 GTS I just went to the local skateboard shop and picked up some grip tape and just wrapped it in that... Not nearly as "padded" but the stuff is pretty grippy even in the water.

swimming pool noodle would probably work well if you can find a good color
