On plane I have to hold the wheel quarter turn to left to go straight if I let go it turns quickly right. Is this just part of jet boat or can I fix this?

Unrelated problem, my battery tie down system keeps failing, kids love to jump wakes. Anyone found a battery strap or tie down that holds up under all the fun?

3rd issue...My Hawkeye depth finder stopped finding the depth. I am talking to them, but are they usually reliable long term or am I going to be disappointed even with replacement? Apparently the transducer has failed, may be under warranty but the hard part was the install not the cost.

My 2000 Challenger also pulls to the right and I have to keep the wheel to the left as well. I do have trim tabs so i generally straighten it out that way. Can anybody shed any light on this 'pulling' issue?

They give you 2 throttle levers for a reason. Slow down the left engine, and it will go straight.

On most of the twin engine boats... they use 2 different pitch impellers, and that will push it to one side.

LOL............. OK I'm dumb. I missed LE, and only read "Speedster." (sorry)

If it's pulling (with a single pump) make sure the stator veins, and make sure the ride plate isn't bent.

About your battery hold down situation, I had a similar problem. The newer batteries are smaller than the originals. Being a shade tree mechanic what I did was cut a 1 x 6 piece of wood to put under the battery.

This is all a foreign language to me...lol... I am sure I can find it in the service manual, all 409 pages of it haha, but what do you mean by "strator veins" and what is the ride plate? As I understand there are 2 Strators, one below the fly wheel and one near the impeller? Sorry for all the questions, but I am trying to learn this boat as I go. It is my first boat and is a ton of fun and a huge learning experience.

Direction of current flow and wind will also play on sterring direction. Make sure to test on calm waters. There is cable adjustments also behind the sterring wheel.
