So, as we all know it's difficult to find parts for a Merc powered seadoo boat, either get Merc parts for motor and seado parts for hull and accessories, etc. My question is I need a new steering cable for the a 2005 Utopia 205 with a Merc 250 opti... Are the cables the same for all the seadoo utopia 205 of that year both Rotax and Opti? And if so or if not, do I have to disassemble the pump again(rebuilt wear ring with Jb weld a year ago) ??

Other companies make the cables as well and they are more affordable and in stock.. I know the company, but have simply forgotten it at this moment. Dr Honda will know,,,

The rotax and Merc boats are different for the cables. You MAY be able to find the OEM cables... but I would either visit your local boat shop with the old one in hand... or just order one from SBT.

No... you do not have to disassemble the pump. Just unbolt it from the nozzle, and the side of the pump... and pull it out. (don't rip the boot inside the hull)
