Steering Cable For 95xp/96xp

I have a question regarding the steering cable from a 95xp verses 94/96. Just recently look up the 95xp part #27700467 then I look up the 94/96 # 277-000-289 I wanted to confirm if it may just been a change in the numbers only not the cable it self. I decided to put together a parts list of all the parts necessary that the cables use for the installation, and Lord behold they all matched perfectly on the 96 vs the 95xp.

So the question still remain what is the difference between the cable?

1. is it lenght, with, thickness, or it was it just the number that change in 1995 because the factory wanted to change the number of the cable part?

ANY ANSWER TO THESE QUESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

Changes....

No, they just don't change the part number because they want to. After 10 years, they may not make the original manufactured part and have an OEM replacement, which will have a superceeded SKU#, but for the most part, if a part is good for one ski for 5 or 6 years, the part # remains the same.:cheers:
