Steering Alignment and Diameter Question

As you can see in the pic, the brace for the assemblies is crocked. I have installed it tightened and untightened on the brace mounting screws and get the same result. There isn't much clearance in the mounting holes to the boat and looking at the bottoms of the assembly to the hull it doesn't look off, so I don't know how to adjust this.

Also, I don't know if you can tell the casting on these jets is different, but the one on the left is a bit heavier made, and by so being it is 1/4" smaller diameter than the jet outlet on the right. Can someone check to see if their is like this. I would think they should be the same diameter. I know 1/4" doesn't sound like much, but that is quite a bit of difference area wise chocked down on the left side. I don't know if this is by design or if this was changed out with the wrong outlet.

Also, I need to adjust the right side out a turn or two on the adjustment. I was just reading a post where someone said to align them flush with a straight edge and someone said to have them slightly pointed inward to each other. Which is the right way. I don't recall seeing this in the service manual. Thanks

The arms can get bent,,,so things are out of whack,,,the bottom rod has 13 mm’s ,,,and that is how you balance the nozzles ,,,but the pics are hard to discern…so I think I am missing something,,,or else it would be simpler??
I just aligned a speedster with twin 4teks,,,even the reverse buckets were out of whack,,,I bet some of the small 8 mm bolts are missing on the side of the nozzles?

Thanks for replying. I took it apart and got the brace as close to decent as I could. On the arm I did so a slight adjustment to bring tweak the nozzles slightly inward as I hear that helps it track better, but I have no idea. I can just see light through it, maybe 1/32 of light under the straightedge. Where the ball joint goes over the bolt I made a 1/4" sleeve out of a piece of 3/8" refrigeration style copper pipe to bring the rod down to be more even.
I'm like you, I don't think this should have been this complicated, and I am really suspect of the port side nozzle being 1/4" smaller in diameter of the starboard side nozzle. I mean I did say it is smaller, the casting looks different, and it took about 1/4" to make even looking enough not to look screwed up.
If someone can please check their jet nozzles to see if they are the same, even putting a ruler on them if they will. I can tell the casting is beefier on the port side. I am very suspect one of these came off of a pwc, but even then I don't know which one. I really need someone with one of these twin engine boats to check please. I just mechanically can not see why one would be smaller than the other. I know 1/4" diameter doesn't sound like much but on a 3 inch or so diameter it is a lot of area and I don't know how it wouldn't throw steering etc out of balance as particular and peculiar as these boats are on such. I did just check the parts manual and Right and Left are two different part numbers.
Thanks

It doesn’t make sense for the 2 pumps to be out of alignment.
Normally,,,I set the steering straight at the helm,,,that.,,I want the wheel in a neutral position,,,with the starboard nozzle being perpendicular to the transom,,,just using a 2x4,,,then I will align the port Nozzle with the starboard nozzle.,,do not try to adjust the steering at the nozzle,,,you want the cable threaded in as far as possible into the long hex nit.

Do you know if the nozzles are the exact same diameter as I asked above?
As far as the steering, I have read on this forum and on a jetboat forum that the boat will track better if the nozzles are slightly in. I had it straight on aligned and can put it back. It's just hard to get clear cut info on these boats. The manuals fall short of a lot of valid questions on setup, etc.
Thanks
