Hello all...I am new to the forum and to the world of Seadoo as well. I just inherited two 97 Seadoos (GS & GTS) with low hours on them. I changed the batteries, spark plugs, fuel filter near gas tank. I put some racing fuel to mix with the old gas sitting in the tanks...success, both ran fine for the first time out! BUT, the next weekend the GS would start and run for a few minutes then just shut off. I had to remove the key and wait, then restart. Over and over the same thing. Do you think I have a carb/fuel line problem? I am still running the old grey "tempo" line. I am some what mechanically inclined, but live in an apartment and don't have a lot of tools/space. Is this a project I can tackle myself, or if there is someone out there in Phoenix, AZ that would be able to help, that would be awesome....help?!?

Bout time you got some DOO'S....
Alright stud, scrub the post with war,/soap water, swab out landyard. Grey lines "can" be problamatc, but since it ran killer last weekend, dont think its the problem.
Recheck the "inline" filter, check its o-ring, if you can, clean the "fuel selector" assy (aint that bad of job), and with this as start, repost on your findings. Hopefully, just stirred up some crap, and thats it. You can replace the plugs too...

Thanks...hopefully a clean fuel selector will fix this issue. Probably need to get rid of the fuel lines anyway to prevent a future problem! I will follow up with the results!
