Hey guys I am new here and was hoping someone could help me?
I have a 96 hx and I had a hard time starting it I did finally get it going with a lot of spraying of liquid fire.
I then ran it for about 30-45 seconds reving it up. seemed to be okay
Just to be sure it was going to run for longer I hooked it up to the garden hose I started it. It started right up but when I turned on the water it ran for about 15-20 seconds at an idle and then died. I couldn't get it back going again. I also noticed that there was water in the hull because I installed a bilge pump and it sprayed on my leg. Really confused any help would be great.

It sounds like you have multi problems. It sounds like you need to remove the carburetors and clean them. If you're careful and don't tear or damage the diaphragms you won't need to buy a rebuild kit. Pay attention to the internal filters too. If you have gray fuel lines you need to replace them with black fuel lines available from auto parts stores like Auto Zone. Measure the length you need and bring a sample with you so you get the correct size. Replace one at a time so you don’t get them mixed up. If you need clamps replace them too. Use small stainless steel clamps also from the auto parts store.

Next I think you have a cooling line that is leaking. Look around for a split or broken cooling line that is allowing water to enter the hull of the seadoo.

It really is recommended to use any kinda of starting fluid to start you seadoo. I recommend using gas and some oil you use for the seadoo now, and make up a pre-mix. Add like 1 oz of the premix to the cylinders to help fire it up.
