So we have a 93 spx.
It was just in the shop getting a new coil on the magneto which the guy claimed was the problem, although it wasn't cause we still have it the same issue.
The problem is it wont start in the water. (75% of the time) Although it will start on the trailer or with the impeller out of the water every time.
Every couple cranks we'll get a backfire but it will still start and rev up to the limiter.
The engine was getting some work done on it a while ago and something happened with the rotary valve according to my dad, it fell off and the guy put it back on, Maybe without checking timing?
Any ideas on what our culprit could be?
