After sitting for a while, I just got some fresh fuel in the tank, lines, VST and replaced/pre-filled the filter/separator. I even filled the VST with fresh fuel, let it sit overnight and drained it (the fresh fuel removed varnish deposits and the new fuel I poured in it smelled old).

When I turn the key on, I can hear and feel the pump pulsating (the pump that's connected to the fuel line from the tank). I cracked open the plug on the bottom of the VST and fresh fuel came out so it seems the primer pump is working.

I suppose I can squirt some pre-mix in the spark plug holes to see it it runs for a second, correct? Any other ideas of what to check?

Thanks for any help,
James

EDIT:
I just verified that the engine runs for a few seconds with some pre-mix shot in the spark plug holes. Since I know the pulse pump is working and filling the VST, should I look into VST issues? Like the pump not working, clogged screen, stuck needle etc.?

I'm confused. You have listed what you've done... but not "What it's doing" or "What's wrong."

Is it a starting issue?? (as in, hard to get started) Or is it simply... not running at all?

Doesn't start... verified that the engine runs for a few seconds with some pre-mix shot in the spark plug holes.
Thank you

OK... so it won't run on it's own.

Since we know fuel is getting up to the vapor tank... I would put a pressure gauge on the regulator, and see what you get. If you have pressure... then I would make sure you are getting power to the injectors. As I recall... the positive power for the injectors, and high pressure pump are common. (The ECU controls the ground)

What should the pressure be? And this can be done just by turning the key to On? Or does someone need to be turning over the engine as it's being checked?
Thanks
