I can't speak of the 240 specifically, but anything other than the OEM starter almost always is a costly mistake... Dr Honda may have better input in regards your engine..
Minnetonka4me may have quality used starters. Simply put a new brush kit in them..

That's the wrong one, however your reply was not waisted! I did a search on ebay for the correct part number and clicked "used" to fish out the cheap aftermarket stuff. I found 3! One for 70 shipped from an 01 challenger, one for 100 and one for 80. The cleanest looking one is the 70, worst case I'm figuring buy it, and I can build one good unit from that and my old one if needed.

This is what's wrong with mine, the magnet plate broke and dragged the armature windings. Windings are good, but it slowed it down enough the bender wouldn't come up.

Yep,, that would do it,,,

I would recommend you by a brush kit at the same time. Replace them now and get some quality life out of it..

eBay has them as well.

And I think that Minnetonka4me has both the starters and rebuild kits...

Yeah I would recommend a denso rebuild kit if you have the ability to do it yourself. I have then in stock if interested.
