Sportster LE Bilge pump replacement

I noticed my engine compartment was flooded on my last trip so I believe the bilge pump needs to be replaced. I'll be testing that out shortly to see if it's toast or not, but in the meantime I noticed that the BRP part (204471431) is discontinued. I know I could probably find an exact replacement from various parts suppliers (ebay and amazon seem to be good sources), but I wonder if I could just buy a standard marine pump (like a Shoreline brand) from Amazon? Any suggestions out there?

Get a high output pump,,,the installation setup,,.bracket maybe different Thats it,,,pit your drain plugs,,,raise the front of the trailor,,,and fill the rear bilge with your garden hose,,,you quickly will know if your pump is working.,,the absolute worst part,,,is being almost upside bloody down to get at it,,.and try to get a pump that will fit into the existing bracket,,,another pain in my upside down back!!!making a newer pump fit into an older bracket!!!
