Forward/reverse Lever snapped at base clean off while shifting. Has anyone else had this happen? Is there an epoxy strong enough for a fix or am I stuck purchasing a $150 lever..

The 97 speedster I picked up had the same issue, broke clean at the bottom cable. I went ahead and ordered the new lever, there is a lot of strain on that part and I didn't want to fool around with any epoxy or "quick fix"
Buying used is slightly cheaper but again, who knows how long that one will last

With extremely good welding skills I bet it could be tig welded back together. While not ideal cast aluminum can be welded, I had to have my clutch cover on my dirt bike welded or it was $395 for a new one. He said it was all about pre heating with torch and keeping the heat in it and not taking it too far and warping it. Cost $40, a fab shop local to you would be worth a try before you buy a new one
