So I was having a great time jumping waves in Lake Michigan and all went perfectly but the thought did come to me......

Can you crack a seadoo hull?

What are they rated for?

anyone ever broke one :)

As long as it doesn't land weird... you will be fine. I launched off of the wake of a 50' yacht, and my boat was a solid 5' out of the water... and not even a stress crack in the gel.

Yeah, i have had mine totally out of the water and slam back down numerous times. Always comes out fine. Just like a big jetski.

Turn Over ?

Been operating 14-16 foot Sea Doos since 1995, slammed them around big time, not even a stress crack in the gel coat.

Aside from that, I have always wondered if it were possible to turn one over. I am positive you cant up-end one with any normal maneuver, but always wondered if coming off a big wave sideways it might turn over. never heard of it happening.

It is one great hull design.

what about flipping a challenger 1800?

i'm always scared to whip mine sideways at full throttle like ive seen people do on the smaller 14-15' boats ("360's")

i was told the boats were made to be thrown around like this but it still has me nervous

Unless you hit something, or have a bilge full of water... there is absolutely no way to roll a SeaDoo boat. Tell your passengers to hold on, and crank the wheel with the throttles at full power!!!!

THEN... try to wipe the grin off your face.

The comment above is true. Big JetSkis!

OK... I don't know if I would do it with an Islandia... but if I buy one next year, you better believe I'm going to try it. :hurray:
