I know for a fact that my wear ring housing has some pitting that leads to power loss. The fact that they offer a full bore out and then insert a wear ring insert is worth the money I think. Then the boring of the stater and jet nozzle is a bonus. I would love to hit the 50 mph mark. I am currently at 49mph.
Well, I have taken my pump off as I usually do every winter. As suspected I have a lot of pitting within my wear ring housing. I am looking at options. Have found many debates online whether installing a Delvin aka. UHMV wear ring or a stainless ring is better or not.
In my research I found http://maverickwatersports.com/SportJet.html Their cost is $750 plus shipping to bore/insert the Delvin liner and also re-fresh the impeller. Pricey, but I think they would do a fine job.
I have a couple machine shops that would be happy to bore out the housing, but I have not found any where online that will sell the Delvin liner. Anyone?
What have you other members done in the past and what do you think the best option is?

It sounds like they do all their testing on a much lighter aluminium boats so perhaps the performance gains aren't that much on something as heavy as an Islandia.
After weighing all my options I have decided to go with a stainless liner in the pump. Not completely thrilled about it, but many people do it and it works for them. The cost that Maverick charges for Delvin is just too expensive. $750 for the package and then shipping to boot is way too much. You would think that stainless would be twice the cost but it apparently is not. I am shipping my housing and impeller out to IMPROS this week. Can't beat the price and I want professionals to handle this.
