I would like to buy a Speedters 2008 with a 215 engine , its is good ??? , any major problem to know ?? , Can anyone tell me the positives and negatives of this boat ...big thanks !!

Only thing I know for sure is the SC. Make sure it doesn't have the ceramic washers or if it does replace them right away. After that regular maintenance and its pretty much bulletproof. It's fun however it is a small boat with limited space and rough wet ride. Just something to keep in mind. If that doesn't bother you then it's a whole lot of fun. I'll be looking for one myself for next season.

It's a good looking small boat if you don't mind to rebuild the supercharger for every 100 hours, the late 08 speedster 150 should have the steel washers installed. I have just got a 08 speedster 150 155 hp with only 15 hours, very impressive with the engine perfomance except the little tracking pulling issue.

I purchased a 2006 215 scic last August. I had if for one weekend and then winterized, this season I got two rides (about 2 hours) and the engine blew (rod bearings on a motor with 80 hours). I had the dealer install a new BRP Rotax remanufactured engine for $5000.00. The mechanic took it out for a test drive and the new engine blew up...again defective rod bearings. Its been over 2 weeks and BRP has not sent a replacement motor. The motors also have issues with dropped valves and superchargers that also fail...do a lot of research before you buy.

All your issues other that the SC washers were fixed in 07 according to my dealer. He recommended I buy a 07 or newer.

Super Chargers need rebuilt every 100 hrs and or instantly if they have the ceramic washers.

215 engine is a good engine.

I have the 255 with a SC and simply love it.

I will never not own a model without a SC. They add about 20 MPH and superior performance. Worth every penny to me.

Then why are brand new motors failing after 9 minutes of use? They still have problems and the customer service is HORRIBLE!!!

Sounds like you're having a bad experience, possibly dealer related. Every time I had to deal with BRP directly their customer service was great. I cannot say the same thing about all their dealers though.

Dealer has been great he can't believe the crap from Seadoo, called BRP rep "so you got a bad motor what do you want me to do"....Called Canada "can't do anything for you have to talk to your dealer" I should have purchased a SBT motor.

The connecting rod bearings can be failures by the poor oil condition, overheating, over revving and etc, I have a few times of the same issues on my single two stroke marine engines, just replaced the bad crank with the new one then they moving again.
