Speedster Tower - Difference in Model Years?

I have a 2006 Speedster 200 Wake Edition that the previous owner removed and sold the tower off of because he wasn't using it.

I have heard about some problems with the older towers (recalls?).

I was just wondering, when I purchase a replacement factory tower, should I ask for a newer model year so I do not get one with issues, or have the problems been resolved?

It seems until 2008 they were silver, and 2009 they are black. Are there any other differences in the model years for the tower?

For some reason, a 2006 tower is around $2300, 2007-2008 is $2500, and a 2009 tower $3400. Other than the colour of the 2009 I can't see a difference.

Finally, will the tower come equipped with the wiring harness already installed or is that seperate? I cannot find the harness seperate so I am assuming it is inside as one part.

i have one of these towers im selling and i took a look.. it has the wire pulls for the speakers but no plug and play harness.. it is a factory tower so i believe you just pull your own wire for the speakers through the pipes of the tower..i spoke to the maufacture of the towers and they said nothing has change on those towers.
