I just had both my props redone, wear rings ect, boat ran great, now all the sudden the boat today has no power, nothing stuck in there, nothing on the grate, reved it to 3/4 throttle wouldnt get to plane, then both engines dies, not sure what to check...

This is on a 1995 speedster..

Props?

The speedster doesn't have props on it. I think you may be talking about the impellers........

You said you couldn't get to plane before the engines die. How fast were you moving? Would the boat respond to the throttle and move through the water at all? And when you got on the throttle, describe what happened in better detail before the engines died.

Kinda hard to picture both engines going dead at one time. As for you not getting to plane, if you were moving, then it sounds like you don't have a problem with the impellers or wearing rings......I first thought it may be your shaft, but sounds kinda impossible that they'd both go at one time.

Check your fuses and your charging system. If you can, use a multi meter to check the charge in the battery. Should be close to 12 vdc. Then, after charging the battery, or jumping from a vehicle with a good battery (with that vehicle's motor off!), if you get a motor running, re-test with your meter to see what your charging system shows. Should be close to 14 vdc.

I'm not to sure what's going on here, really isn't a lot of info to go on in your first post.

third time out since the work was done, im wondering if somthing was stuck or somthing, it would go from a stop to oh 5mph like it wanted to get up to plane, then loose power, it was a bit strange, only one motor died, but the boat runs great on the trailer, this beinga 95 it only has one intake...im wondering if its a cavitation problem, i looked in at both impellors and sisnt see anything, however not sure hwat to look for realy...

Kinda what I was thinking, only thing thats strange is it will reve up fine on the trailer, could the carbs needing rebuilt show up only when its warm?

willing to bet it is load vs. no load more than hot vs. cold. When it is in the water, there is a load on it and if it is having a fueling problem, it will be worse then.

By reving on the trailor what do you mean, is it in gear(or should i say foward) when you do this.
If not the rev limiter should be on and it will only rev to 3000rpm which is not a true gauge of the motors running well!
If you haven't rebuilt the carbies i would bet this is your problem.
Replace the fuel filters and rebuild the carbies you will be surprized the difference it will make.:)

Rebuild kits?

You can find your carb rebuild kits at www.sbtontheweb.com

When the home page opens, look on the left, you'll see a tab to shop by make/model. Choose this category. Then, when the page opens, choose Seadoo, then select your info. You'll be re-directed to a page with your motor and parts, along with some gaskets and rebuild kits, including the carbs.

sweet thanks a bunch, now if I only had the time, wish somebody could do it for me :( how long does it take to de, I am mechanically inclined

Really simple....

They are really simple carbs to do. You may just want to start by taking off one carb and gently taking it apart, slowly opening the plates so not to rip a gasket. You want to remove the plate with the pulse line first. When you get that plate off, you'll be able to access the filter inside the carb. If it's stopped up, you'll know where 90% of your problem is.

You may not even need the rebuild kit. Won't know till you try
