OK..........
1) push the throttle to full.
2) Adjust the cable length on the MAG side carb, (using the 2 stop nuts at the carb) so the throttle arm, on the carb, JUST misses the physical stop on the carb body. This is important !! If you have it hitting the stop... then you will wind up breaking the cable, because of stress, when pushing the throttle handle.
3) Adjust the link between the carbs so the butterflies are at the same position.
4) bring it to the idle position, and verify that the butterflies are still in alignment. (should be as long as the carb bolts are tight)
5) Repeat on the second engine.
NEXT...
6) With the throttles at idle...
7) adjust the cable at the oil pump, so that the line on the arm, is in-line with the scribe mark on the pump body. It's not easy to see, and you will probably need a little mirror.
At that point... you are properly adjusted.
With that all said.... there is a VERY small chance that both engines will be at the exact same RPM when holding the throttle handles side by side. Some people try to adjust the cables to "FIX" this supposed problem... but DO NOT do that. The reason they give you 2 throttle levers is so you can set them separately, while at cruse.
