My speedster has run beautifully thanks to the advice of this forum... probably smashed 70hrs on it over the last 6 months... but today in preparation for the weekend away at the lake I was inspecting the bilge after firing for the engines for 10 seconds and noticed clean oil sitting there. I couldn't see any concrete evidence as to the origin of the leak ... So I threw a quick video together offering my thoughts and showing the leak.

As per the video in thinking it's leaking from one of the tubing connections from the reservoir to the engine. I'm thinking it's come slightly loose from the vibrations so im hoping a zip tie will do the trick... I'm going to try that tomorrow in 16 hrs time... I must sleep for now :(

I plan to run it in the hose and see if continues to leak but if that's all good I'm still super keen to take it out on the weekend camping at the lake

In saying this ....and based on the video. Am I missing anything obvious. Does it look like it's leaking from somewhere else? How should I proceed further investigating otherwise?

Appreciate the responses.

Its typically the two grommets on the bottom of the tank that start to leak over time. These are the connections where the hoses connect at the bottom. You can get replacement grommets, but I recommend going OEM and not aftermarket.

I replaced mine when I restored my 98 a couple years back.

293720002 and 293720001 are the part numbers for the grommets.

I just address this on one of my threads. Every used Seadoo I've purchased that's the number one thing I find from that exact spot. Definitely second on the OEM! Premix will eliminate that.

Just replace the grommets.
Switching to premix will just use way more oil and you still have to keep the oil tank anyways to supply the rotary gear with oil so you will be doing grommets anyways.
