Thinking of buying a 2005 speedster 200 with a blown head gasket. Is this a costly repair if I repair myself?

Selling for 5500. I know they are worth a lot more. Just wondering if I would still be ahead at that price plus repairs.

Nice one regarding the iceberg.... but that said, it's only going to be more ice!
I assume it's a twin... If so, what is the other motor like? I would work back from worst case cost scenario i.e. complete engine replacement or rebuild and then work out if you are still in front, you may find you are esp. if you can do some of the work yourself.

thats the problem, whats the repairs gonna be? as rowdyrod says maybe a complete rebuild for one engine what about the other? you cant even test drive the boat!!
is it sc engine?
i know it sounds extreme but i wouldnt offer more than $500
