Well, I have seen over the years people talk about how the factory towers on the early 200 boats have been recalled and then retrofitted with an additional brace. I am looking for pics of this dealer modification. One of the factory welds on my tower gave out today. I have always noticed it had a huge amount of side to side wobble going down the road while being towed and even on the water. Guess the wobble finally caught up to it. Luckily I noticed the crak in the weld about 10 minutes before it actually broke all the way loose. So nobody was injured and it didnt hurt anything. I plan on calling BRP in the morning to see if it is still covered. IF not, i wanna see if I can have someone fix the existing weld and fabricate something along the lines of the BRP fix. I just need to see pics of it. Ive read it makes the tower sturdier but you can no longer lower it, which doesnt effect me since I dont have height issues where i store it.

i would still try to make the braces they do removable to lower. never know when you will need it lowered.
