I am considering purchasing a Sea doo 150 Speedster and wanted to know how it handles in a chop that typically exists in the bay here in Florida. I know it is a small boat and would like to hear any feedback that you may have regarding the ride. Also it sounds as the 255 or 215 HP is the way to go.

The lake I go to is generally choppy. I have a 215 hp and it handles fine. I compare it to riding a pwc. If you get tired of that rough ride on the pwc in choppy waters pretty quick, you will in the speedster also. My wife lasted thirty minutes today before exiting the boat with motion sickness. The kids were "game on"!

youll take a beating, friends will fight over who doesnt sit in the suicide seat lol..... they are fun boats but dont cut the wave they bounce over them.

150 speedster ride

I can tell you this for sure. I just bought a 2008 150 (215hp) and compared to the 97 speedster I had the newer boats handle the chop much better than the old ones. Never the less, they are a small boat and you are going to take some beating in choppy water no matter what.

Hey man I see your located in nashville. You okay. I'm in clarksville and it's been hell. Bought my 97 challenger weekend before last and now this flooding crap. I won't be able to ride for a month. Oh well I guess. I can fix her up the way I want now.

Boxer0897 - Yeah, real mess here as well. There was a Sea Doo charity run scheduled for this weekend, 60 miles total, up Old Hickory Lake to demo new Sea Doos from a local dealer. They invited all w/ Sea Doo out for $25 donation to Ronald Mc Donald house but it has been postponed until later in the summer.

You should come down an join in the run...sounds like it will be a blast. Let me know if you're interested. here is a link to the info.
