Speedster 150 Questions

I am thinking of purchasing a Speedster 150 (215) this fall.

I have a couple of questions for you guys that have them.

1) Did you get it with the wake tower?

2) If not, do you wish you had the tower?

3) Does the tower fold down easily to store in the garage?

I might just skip the tower with the initial purchase and go with a Monster Tower.

4) Are you happy with the boat?

5) Do you have any recommendations for dealers in Alberta? I am in south/central Alberta.

Welcome to the seadoo forum Dan. I deleted you duplicate post. Most people I have talked too did not get a tower with their boat. I head the tower will fold down to fit the garage. Everyone says they are very Happy with their purchase. I'm sure you hear that all first hand as there are a lot of 150 owners here in the seadoo forum...

I dont have a tower but i wish i did get one with it.... I would only put a factory one on as i would think an aftermarket one will hurt your resale value PLUSE the factory one looks way better then any aftermarket one, Also i belive the ones that come with the towers have extra supports added to the hull of the boat, i could be wrong on that just going off what the dealer told me when i was looking to put a factory tower on mine.... If you want a tower find a boat with a factory one youll be glad you did...

We love our 150!

We absolutely love our 150! We did purchase it with the wake tower as our kids love to wakeboard and we took it straight to the lake after taking delivery! We did purchase our wake rack from monster, and so far we are happy with it! We ordered it with the adjustable clamp! Good luck with your purchase!

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that the tower does fold down very easily for storage!! Check out videos on youtube to get an idea about performance!!!

Bought My 150 in July and I go as often as weather permits...The boat is perfect for me...I can pull my kids tubing no problem and has enough power to do all the fun stuff we do on the river...I have no complaints about this boat!

Thanks for the replies. I actually pulled the trigger last night and brought an 08 215 w/wake tower home last night! I can't wait to put it in the lake on Friday!

I do have one more question:

Do you trailer it with the cover on? The dealer talked me into driving home with the cover on. When I got home, I noticed that a lot of the gel coat is scuffed and scratched

I would think you should trailer it without the cover. What do you think?

Congratulations on the new boat....I am sure you will love it!

Sorry to hear about the scuffs and scratches....thats too bad! They were bound to get there eventually from normal wear and tear though....so don't worry too much!!

I personally do not own a speedster so I cannot give insight into towing with the cover or not.

Dan, I have a cover for my 200 speedster and it says it can be towed with it on. It has a Vacu System that is suppose to be used while towing...I wouldn't tow with any kind of cover, but that is just me. I spend too much time keeping my boat finish perfect. NO COVER WHILE TOWING FOR ME!

I agree with Karl, I wouldn't use a cover when towing my boat.

I talked to the dealer and they will fix it up at the 10hr service. Hopefully they can make it look shiny again!:rofl:
