Speedster 150 idle too high

I got this 2011 Speedster 150 with 54 hours on it last month.
When I checked the oil; it was clean but way over the full mark. I figured it was just because it was sitting on the trailer. But when I put it in the water, the oil still showed overfilled. I removed over a quart of oil from with my pump until it read just under the full line while sitting in the water. I also changed the plugs.
As a baseline, the boat used to idle between 2100 and 2400 when the motor was cool and around vary up and down between 1760 and 2100 when warmed up.
The strange thing through is that since I removed the overfilled oil, the idle is running even higher. When I first cranked it up after siphoning, it idled at around 2400. But after I ran it for an hour on the water, as I entered the no wake zone, it would not go under 2500rpm. Even after I got it back to the dock, it still ides at 2500.
This started me learning about the proper idle for this boat. It appears that it was never idling low enough, but the overfilling just masked the problem a bit.
I have read vacuum leak...perhaps?
But this boat does not appear to have vacuum hoses similar to my old toyota truck or honda CRX.
Where do I begin?

TPS maybe or the throttle cable may be too tight. Check that there is some play in the cable where it meets the throttle body. Also oil level should be right in the middle of the 2 marks on the stick.

I am confident that the throttle cable is correct because it moves to idle just a bit before the handle is all the way back, but will check at the motor to verify.
How do I test the TPS?
And is there a diagram of the vacuum lines so I can check those connections for leaks?

the TPS would need to be checked at the dealer or if you buy a CanDoo system. You can also reset it to 0 and check to see how far it opens and closes. I don't know of any vacuum lines on this engine, but not 100% sure. Is the throttle body tight against the engine? Might be your idle control valve as well.
