Has anyone removed the plastic exhaust silencer from this boat setup? I have the riva straight through exhaust on my RXPX 255 and like the sound of it. I operate in an area were the sound will not offend any people. The riva exhaust mod ( for the ski) is just a straight piece of aluminum pipe powder coated. I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone has done this with there speedster.

I've got the riva exhaust system on my rxp, and I hate it (bought it that way). Maybe when I was younger I'd think it was cool ... in my opinion its an effective method of making noise while not offering any relevant power gains.

But to your question ... through hull exhaust in a ski yah sure giver whatevs. In a boat no way! At idle the 4tec is noisy without the resonator, generally in a boat you do more cruising so just keep that in mind when you want to have a conversation with the ladies onboard or when your listening to tunes. Sorry to be coming across as a crusty old fart ... I just think the through hull system is ghey be it on a seadoo or seadoo boat unless your racing them. If your going to stick it in the boat at least maybe put the through hull fitting under the waterline at least at idle it won't be so irritating to everybody else on the lake.

Thanks for the feed back. If I did do this it would definitely be under the water line. Your right , how would you be able to hear anyone in the boat.. :-)
