Newbie question I know but I can not find the Speedo wheel on my 96 Speedster twin. It has Speedo at the helm but it's not working and the fuse is good.
I have been under the boat and at the back and see nothing.
Also the gages are hard to read, Is there anything that can be done to the needle?

The spedo has a small plate on the transom with a small wheel that spins and sends a signal to the spedo. The gauges are sealed and can not be taken apart to repaired.

Speedo wheel.

Thanks for the info but I see no plate or wheel and no hole for wire.
What side would or should be on and were in the engine area would the wire be at?

Speedo location

I've been on the site but show support bracket but not the location.
Were does the wire cime from.
Any help would be great as I see nothing like this bracket and would like to know what it is that I have to look for to get the speedo working.
Thanks

My 1997 Speedster may be the same -

On mine the wire comes through the transom on the upper left most corner of the port (left) side square jet pump housing/plate. The wire comes out of the housing, makes a right across the housing and then heads down the housing to the speed wheel. My speed wheel is mounted on the right side of the port ride plate - it has a little nubby wheel that spins.
Hope this helps.

Speedo Wheel

Yes that helps. i will have to look there tonight to see if even the wireing is there.
Thanks again.

If you need me to do more digging/looking -

The boat is in my driveway and I'm working from home this week.

Were can I get a Speedo Wheel?

My bracket and wheel are missing. Does not look like it was ever on the boat but I do have the gage.
Where is the best place and most resonable to get this part?
:(
