Is it possible to adjust the speedo to match what the GPS speed is? My speedo gauge reads about 6-8 mph slower than it should. GPS said 52, speedo said 44. I was hoping there was a way to turn something on the back of the gauge???

Seadoo speedometers are not very accurate, and I don't know of any way to adjust one. You might want to consider an in dash GPS speedometer, you can get one for under $200.00. Personally I use a GPS speedometer app. on my cel. phone.

I thought I read before there is something on the back of the speedo to adjust them. I really need to do it to mine. Will check in the next few days and post back.

I see a few dial screws on the back but none really say anything. One is set on 5 from a 1-5 setting, the other I don't see it saying anything or what it actually does.

My big guess for which I deserve swift decapitation for not knowing exactly everything under the sun is the one marked 1-5 is a switch (5 positions?) for rough calibration and the other is a fine tune trim potentiometer?

Mark the current positions and try adjusting it, what have you got to loose, the speedo is already inaccurate.

that has to be one of the biggest finds.......
good one!!! now to see if it can be adjusted?
i wont in be in the water for another week, i wonder if anyone else has a go at it.

I really never thought they were adjustable either, but on a whim I searched the internet and came up with this document from Faria who I believe makes the gauges for seadoo. The pdf has instruction about how to calibrate the speedo, might help?

LOL dude that was a good find......hope to look and see what can be adjusted in the next week. The boat is back at storage. Just think when you go to sell, you can show them it really does hit 70 mph. LOL

I just fixed my speedometer today after buying the boat with it not working. Put it in the water and compared the speedo to the gps and the speedo is about 6mph slower. I'm gonna try the calibration tomorrow and see how it goes! This post couldn't have come at a better time. Thanks devonte!

What did you have to do to fix it? Mine has stopped working after I recently had a flooding issue in the engine compartment. Boat runs fine now but speedo registers between 0 - 10 mph at any speed

Mine need to be taken apart, there was some minor corrosion in the gauge and I also checked all the solder points. I didn't think it was bad enough that the speedo wouldn't work but I put it back in the boat and it started working again.

My speedo hasn't worked since I got the boat. Maybe a stupid question but can anyone tell me if it should reset to zero when the boat is off. Mine is stuck at about 20 mph.
Thanks!
