hey guys, I have to change my steering cables on my 95 speedster,but I was told that there was a special tool to remove the cables,is there one out there and what would the name of it ?on the last day on the water before winterizing it ,my right cable broke ,so iam going to change both cables at the same time..and is this an easy job to do , ty for advice...:seeya:

There may be a special tool... but it's nothing that can't be done with normal hand tools.

Hi there, my Speedster 96 RH steering cable is in good condition but I found out my LH steering cable is jammed. My question is how do I take out this cable? Do I start with disassemble from the steering and pull out the cable from there? Please help. Thanks

Most pull out from the pump area, re-install from pump into the boat.

No tool, start from the front loosening and removing bolts nuts and rubber seals.
should pull out the back.
I would pull the jet pump befote I started on the cable.
