Hi Everyone...
I have a question about speakers. I have an '04 Sportster 155 and I want to put new speakers in it. Any suggestions? Also an amp possibly.

Thanks!!! :D

Welcome, Stephanie....take a look at Trevesto or rfoster threads on stereo install and componants.

I have found, believe it or not, the West Marine brand speakers sound really good. I had both Sony and Alpine in my boat before the WM ones and they are, by far, the best of the 3 I have used...not counting the factory ones...they were terrible.

It really depends on what your needs are and what your budget is. I have tons of threads all over about it. Answer those questions and I will give you suggestions.

Thanks guys for your feedback. I just want something that sounds good, comes in clear and is going to hold up. Im not really too worried about prices as long as it is worth it

If price doesnt matter, I would buy JL Audio, JBL or the polk UM (ultimate marine) series. If you wanna save a few bucks, then the DB polks, Kicker or other similar brands. Just make sure you buy marine rated stuff.

As far as amps and head units, that varies too based off what you need. I am convinced to only buy Alpine amps, they are really expensive but worth every penny.

I'm going to toss out there memphis marine audio, I found the jl audio to not be as bright as the mephis marine and on a boat you want bright, they are very clear and good sound quality and very loud with an amp. I tend to stay away from box store pushed name brands as there are just as good of brands as well, memphis audio is a very well known and very good quality marine speaker, pair them with a memphis amp or another brand amp. Just my opinion!
