Spark water leaking issue.

Anyone having any water leaking issues? After about 3 hours of testing the new tunes, my son flipped the spark.. He got it back over with in a few seconds. Started it back up and drove it on the trailer.. after I pulled it out of the water I noticed the inside was very full. I have other friends with sparks that have rolled their several times and they say their sparks are still bone dry inside. Not sure if it was taking on water before he rolled it and that caused him to go over or if somehow it took on water when it rolled.

Side note.. when flipping a spark back over beware of the heat exchangers on the bottom.. They will burn the crap out of you.

Did you see him flip it and right it or is this what he told you?

Not accusing him of anything. But I have seen many post where the story changes as it goes along.

If you did see him flip it and right it then you née to do a few tests. Go ride it your self for a while and check for water. If none, then flip it and wait a few moments and right it and see if there is water. I none, do the same thing but roll and right it the other direction.

You need to figure out when the water gets in.

Yep he did it right in front of me. My friends have flipped theirs back both directions and no water. I will do some more testing Sunday

The little access panels might not have been on there perfectly...that and the clips on said panels are really cheap. Almost all the demo ones had at least one tab broke off.

I flipped one on purpose when demoing and it took me 30-45sec to get back over. It had alot of water in the hull, and the engine ran like complete crap for 2-3 mins.

Yeah I had them warranty one for me already. I will test again sunday and see what happens.

*Note to Self: create a better insulation for the LH and RH panels.

Seriously maybe Sea Doo should create a better way of insulating those panels, they are somewhat flimsy.

I almost lost one when I did that demo too...my board shorts caught a corner and the thing fell into the footwell.

Also...make sure to wear gloves. That seam on the throttle and button holder are freakin sharp!

Im taking the top deck off tonight. I just want to check everything before I get all the way to the water Sunday.

With as light as the sparks are, it may be reasonable to carry it to a pool and look for leaks where the water is clear and shallow enough for you to stand and look for air bubbles and get a better inspection out of it

Its always better to fill the hull with water and look to see where it comes out. I ran it on the flush with the deck off. No leaks. Filed with water. ... no leaks. Checked deck seal .. looks good. Re testing Sunday.
