Spark Trixx - Cannot pair new IBR, getting errors - U16A4 U16A5 U0129(60)

Our 2019 Spark Trixx was filled with water a few months ago due to the exhaust nut coming loose. The ski filled up to the battery with fresh water. Last week the IBR stopped functioning. I opened the ski and the pressure regulator nipple somehow broke off the IBR. When I removed the IBR, it was filled with water. So the IBR was failed and I found the root cause. I went ahead and ordered a new IBR.

My problem now is when I connect the IBR and try to use my Riva MaptunerX to pair the IBR I get a "could not read data" error. I also get the U16A4, U16A5, and U0129 errors. I went and returned the IBR and got a new replacement and am getting the same errors! I was able to successfully pair a used IBR to this ski 6 months ago when I bought it, so the Riva MaptunerX seems to work fine.

I have all the Molex MX150 tools and connectors so I replaced the power connectors and the white/brown and white/black wire connections, which I think are the canbus connectors.

I also charged the battery and confirmed that I have 12.6v at the IBR connector.

I unfortunately sent out my old IBR to have it rebuilt so I cannot reconnect it and see if it works.

I am at a total loss, what do I do? How do I troubleshoot further?

Thanks,
Chris

I think you're going to need BUDS for a new ibr for the initial flash, marry, and calibration.

I just spoke with the Candoo folks, you are totally right. There is a different process for flash versus pairing and it requires a BUDS system. UGH

Thanks,
Chris
