Can a oil fouled spark plug be cleaned & reused?

correct, then when you fix whatever fouled plug, your engine running will clean it up the rest of the way ................

I know WD40 is bad for the seals of the engine - but can't you use it on plugs and then like blow them dry with compressor to remove excess WD40. That stuff will even make wet plugs fire! I can't imagine it's bad if wiped clean

At 2.49 each at autozone why not just replace them!!!!
well, you do that after you run the engine and confirm that the problem is fixed, remember, checking sparkplugs is a verification test, i had a hemi truck today, with a bank 1 upstream o2 sensor bad, plugs where black, repaired wiring under air cleaner where some rodent ate up, road tested truck a few miles, brought back in shop and plugs where white again --

Yes, often they can be cleaned successfully unless they're splattered with melted aluminum! Some solvent or even heat can burn off the oily deposits.
I would shy away from using anything abrasive or wire brushes that might leave something in the plug that could fall into your cylinder. This is why you shouldn't reuse plugs that came from a damaged engine, they may have abrasive "stuff" in them that you don't see.
Personally, I replace my plugs if/when they're fouled. If there's a problem causing fouling, it needs to be addressed.

I went mudding in my cherokee and fouled the plugs. Took them out, sprayed carb cleaning on them and set them on fire lol. Worked flawless. I worked at a dyno and saw thus several times. Believe me that at 2am getting ready for and event, and having fouled plugs, yoy will find a way to remedy the situation

The reason why I asked in the 1st place.........I just started breaking in my 96 GTX w/ a rebuild, I can only use it on sundays and i was out on the bay by 6:45am (the bride had a long honey do list for me, so i had to be home within a few hours) Thr gas tank had approx 2 gallons of mixed 50:1 gas & oil, so the night before i added oil @ 50:1 for 13 gallons, in the morning I added oil again forgetting I did it the night before, so i topped off the tank 12.5 gallons and went out for my 1st real ride w/ the new motor.(keep in mind the oil pump is hooked up and working fine, the added oil was for break in) I was riding it around between 4 - 5000 rpms with the ocastional blip of the throttle, it was riding great the 1st 20 min then started to bogg badly i then pulled over to a beach pulled the plugs they were wet w/ oil then i realised i over oiled the fuel tank, I had a new set w/ me so i changed the plugs and the ski ran fine for the next 45 min at that point i was back at the ramp ready to go home.
