97 GSX runs awesome, very fast and dosent skip a beat. i rode for about 2 hours yesterday, got home and pulled the plugs just to check. they were black as night. it just makes me wonder if that is too much fuel or too much oil. they did have some oil on them so i guees the oil injection system is working but i dont want to fry my motor. i was thinking of disconnecting the oil injection system and just premixing it myself so i know it is getting the proper oil gas mixture. (i run 91 octane and seadoo oil). is there any way to test the oil injection system to make sure it is operating properly? the plugs on my other skis are always nice looking. i use a different oil (castor 927 with 111 octane) on the 440 and i mix a 32:1 ratio. she clears the skeeters away ill tell ya but i always do 32 to 1 on all my 2 strokes, just added security. i know lean is mean but i would rather spend 7 bucks on plugs if they foul than rebuild an engine. and supprisingly i have never fouled em on the 440 or 550 kawis. my point is i dont like the black plugs and i need to know what to do to prevent this.
