I own a seadoo GTX-Di 2002. It is recommended to use spark plug NGK ZFR4F P/N 4043 but it is not available in market .. what is the NGK spark plug that i can use instead of the recommended one .. can i use NGK ZFR6F-11 "what the dealer told me"?

I went to NGK's website and found that the replacement for the ZFR4F Is ZFR4F-11. the gap is 1.1 mm or .04in. I hope this helps you out.

Thanks for your prompt reply ... i went to the same website too before posting my question ... both are technically the same 1.1mm but why the models that fit both are different in NGK website ... under ZFR4f you find GTX-Di models but for ZFR6F-11 there is no mention of any seadoo PWC? does it matter? thanks again

i didn't notice that you mention ZFR4f-11 .. this is not avaialble here .. only one available is 6F -11

Cross referenced....

Alex, welcome to the forum.

It's not a good idea to be running the ZFR6F plug, it's a bit hotter than the recommended plug for your application. The plug your dealer said to use is normally found in 4 stroke applications, like the small Honda cars.

If you have access to different plugs from a retailer, you can cross the proper plug, NGK ZFR4F/ and or 11 with the Champion brand plug, RFN14LY and the Bosch brand, FR9HC....

Let me know if this helps. You may also consider ordering them online. There are online sites here in the U.S. that do international sales.

Running that hotter plug may cause pinging and detonation and can lead to early engine failure. Please make all attempts to refrain from using that plug.

If you have none of the available plugs as I mentioned above, please let me know what plug manafacturers you have available and I'll try and help find the right cross for you.

Good luck and help is always available here in the forum, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.......

Alex, I went to www.ngksparkplug.com and entered your seadoo and it gave me that number...

I'm not over joyed on Champion plugs in anything but my lawnmower, for some reason...I really perfer NGK if at all possible.

hmmmmm, that's strange?

That's weird.....the NGK cross reference guide I used stated to use the plugs I quoted. But, if you've found another cross reference that allows this plugs use, then it's probably o.k...plugs are based on fit, heat, and resistance....so, I'm sure there are several that will work in that application.

Like Karl says, I'm not Champions greates consumer of plugs, except for my chainsaw,.........but I see your in Egypt, so it seems your limited on what you have available.

Good luck, keep your eye on the plugs by reading them for proper operation. Don't let them run to hot.......

Thanks guys, ... it's clear now ...... i shouldn't risk it ... i'll make an online order for NGK ZFR4F-11
