OK, I'm totally confused!!! I have a plug wire that is completely broken off of one of the coils. I would like to replace all the wires but it looks like they are permanently attached to the coils. What are my options? Thanks!!

the boots screw off, then take and cut off about 3/8 of an inch of the wire ends, then screw boot back on, and put a zip tie around end

ive read before, somehow you can bust a retainer off inside and replace, although, hate to say, if it was mine, i/d replace coil assy -- try and pm Minnetonka4me he sells alot of used parts here, he will treat you right im sure

I am so stupid! The wires unscrew crom the coil end as well. DUH! I'm gonna start drooling now. Thanks everybody. I figured maybe if they screw into the plug boot then, hey, maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be the same on the other end. They do!

The spark plug wires on the coil side are held in by a clip, if you're very careful you can remove the clip and re-use it.

Update; Took the boat out today and ran like she was new. I wouldn't be surprised if the old wires were original. Will be doing a video soon of the upgraded impellers (skat trak swirls) and all the things to look at when considering buying an old speedster like a '96. All the stuff I went through. Note; picked up 10 feet of 7mm plug wire and resistor caps for $15.00 from local auto parts store.
