Hey guys, I've got a couple questions for you. On my 98 speedster with 787's, is it possible to change the spark plug wires in the coil? I have heard about the cut 1/4 inch off of the end but I pulled the caps off and these wires aren't copper. Is there a reason for that? I got four new spark plug wires and they are copper. Also it seems as if the wires are glued into the coil. I'm a little confused. Any Info is much appreciated.

Anyone? I pulled the wires out and would like to know if I ruined my coils before I put it all back together.

You have to use a quality silicone core cable if you want the engine to run right, send those coils over to John at JetSkiSolutions and let him work his magic they will light those plugs up like cheap fireworks when they come back he does really good work and it's reasonable.

Are u saying the copper wires I bought won't work correctly? I put them back together to just try it and both motors fired up and had spark but i have not water tested it yet. Will they act differently now that I've changed to copper wires? Thanks for the response.
