Spare Tire for Speedster 15 Trailer

I have the Karavan trailer for a 2007 Speedster 15. Has anyone added a spare tire to this trailer? I have seen spare tire kits (bracket to attach spare to trailer beam), but it isn't obvious to me if there is good place to attach the spare to the trailer due to close clearance with the boat. I am thinking about mounting the tire face down between the post and the split and was wondering if anyone else has solved the problem.

My friend just carries a spare tire in his tow vehicle.

I'd think it would fit on the top of the tongue (horizontal), but can't be sure

Spare.......

There is a "U" bolt kit, probably as West Marine, that you use to bolt the tire to the frame work of the trailer, just aft of your winch. It seems like an easy way to carry it.

The u-bolt kit will mount the tire vertically on the frame rail,preferably on the passenger side as not to interfere with the winch operation.I was toying with the idea of mounting it horizontally under the winch on the checker plate joining the frame rails
