Hi all,
I currently have a 1989 SP that burnt up a piston. Rather than ship my cylinders to SBT and risk my money on their "reputation" I have the chance to pick up a complete 1991 yellow XP engine with 150 psi in both cylinders for the same price.
My 4 questions are
-Can I swap my single carb manifold onto the XP block?
-The XP has a stick type cooling connection on the back while my SP has the oval type. Can I hook my cooling hoses up without issue?
-The XP has an extra ~1/4 inch barb coming off of the head while my SP does not. Can I route that out the same way my exhaust manifold water bleed tube is routed?
-Are the splines for the jet pump shaft the same?
Thanks!
Tyson
OR if you know of a good machine shop in the Madison, WI area to take my cylinders I'm all ears.
