Some Stereo Install Questions

Hi guys, I am installing 4 8" Rockford Fosgate speakers and the Fosgate 800 watt marine amp in my 1999 Speeadster SK. I am going to buy some wire for power, ground and the remote switch line for the amp and just want to know if there are any recommendations for gauge.

Also, I cut holes and installed the two speakers where the factory front ones used to be...and it was much easier than I thought. I was worried about fiberglass going all over the place and flaking and so on but it really didn't happen. I used my Rockwell oscillating/sonic cutting saw and it worked really well. I just used a marker to draw the template and then went around the inside of the line with the half circle style blade and lightly made a groove, and then it basically tracked on its own in the groove and cut the hole...

I need to cut the holes for the rears and I have to remove some of that styrofoam. Not sure how to approach that job yet, so any suggestions are appreciated.

I know in the "Modify!" section... there are a lot of stereo threads. You may want to check there for suggestions.

For the amp, I would use 4 gauge wires for the power and ground. Ground it to the battery. the remote turn on doesnt really matter, anything from 12 to 16 should be fine. For the flotation panels, i tried lots of different ideas, what ended up working best was just using a pair of needle nose pliers, grab a chunk at a time and just rip it out.
