Hate to see it go. We had such a great time on it. :(

Yeah, it needed a little work every now and then, but overall it was a great experience and a great time.

But we have to grow up and get something bigger.

Sadly, I will probably be visiting here much less from now on. I will try to pop in every now and then.

you'll make new friends on the other site.

you should post some parting pics

New boat will have four stroke car engine. I won't need to join a site to fix that.

Parting pictures... Some from local, some from Florida. And a carnage pic.

The newer seadoo boats are 4 stroke, I see many of the 155hp models running lake erie often, the supercharged ones seem to like running more in the repair shop, I too have been tempted by the I/O but I have learned on those electronic wonders you need the merc or volvo computer to do the same thing that newer seadoo needs.

Working on sorting out the title and transfer, etc. of this one.

Should have in my possession by Friday.

YUP It is a "Clastron". Going to have to search the internet for a couple of new adhesive Gs. That is about the extent of the wear on this boat.

I think that part of G came off??
looks nice

It was a joke, guys. See the end where i said i needed to buy a couple of Gs?

Well, sitting at the lake as i type this in wifes convertible mustang. Lake is smooth. Air is unusually cool for texas. First weekend without a boat is killing us.

On positive note, seller wants to meet me at bank in houston and get this deal through tomorrow so might have new boat in my possession tomorrow night. Insert big smilie face here, but cant do it from cell phone except like this :-)

Here is what my first weekend without a boat looked like... :drool5:

You will love that Glastron. Great performer and they don't build junk.

As somone else pointed out, don't ignore that prop! Like a dinged impeller only worse on an I/O.

A prop with a chunk missing can eventually take out all the bearings in your lower unit if out of balance. It would be a safe assumption that your prop is out of balance missing that much metal. Get it fixed or replaced right away.

Some will even recommend a stainless prop. If this is your first prop boat, you may want to avoid stainless until you get used to an I/O. Once you have a very good feel for your trim and prop position in all depths then invest in a stainless.

Many new I/O users dream of the performance of a stainless prop only to find that what would have only taken a ding out of an aluminum prop will now take out the lower unit with a stainless prop. They are super tough and transmit all damage straight to the lower unit.

Good luck with the new rig!!

Posted this to another thread...

Maiden voyage is this afternoon, if weather holds out.

Got it home LATE tuesday night, and noticed a little bend in one of the prop blades. Seller said he "thinks" he hit a fish and never noticed any vibration or loss of power so he just kept riding on it. Most likely a soft rotten water-logged stump or log.

I found new prop for $175 to slap on this afternoon, and have the other one straightened for a spare.

Grab a six-pack and some McDonalds, and dinner on the water tonight!

Don't think I will ever go stainless. I would rather replace a $175 prop than risk serious damage to the lower unit.

Also found that the spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor are all available at the local auto parts store. Just standard auto engine parts, no more ordering from a seadoo dealer or online and waiting 10 days to install.

The prop was at the glastron dealer, about 20 mins from my house, and on the way home from work :hurray:

Just need to find a bimini top and QUICK. Three days on the water this weekend and my irish-white wife will be burned to a crisp!
